A friend of ours has been involved with the Adaptive Sports program for the handicapped for a while. There is a group that is working to fundraise and buy the equipment necessary to have a local water skiing program. The above picture is of a “sit ski”. It can be used by paraplegics and they can enjoy the thrill of waterskiing without even getting their hair wet! This is truly an amazing program and it was a privilege to be a part of it today.

 

In case you were curious, yes, that’s a power plant in the background. The water from this lake is used to cool the plant and the water was 85° the day we were there.
